Signs

For Signs of the End Times please read the
Gospels of Jesus Christ; Matthew chapt. 24 and Mark chapt 13.

Many discuss, even debate over when Jesus is going to take us home if we happen alive when "the catching away" of true Christians" happen. That discussion is usually in relation to the time-table of the "Great Tribulation".

Whenever that is we need to be ready to suffer persecution for Jesus sake as well as to be faithful when things are too easy! God looks for faithfulness.

And of course do not believe "date-setters" because Jesus in the Bible told us no one knows the day or hour of His return. Only our Heavenly Father knows!

We can look at the signs Jesus talked about in what Matthew and Mark wrote and know that perhaps we are close to it.

Thank You Jesus for Salvation!

The following is an old post from another blog
but I think it is time to post it

where it can easily be seen once again!

GLORY TO GOD!

Thank You Jesus for Salvation!

The following information from the "Spiritual Health Study" (on our Bible Studies website) is the basic message for how to get saved.

And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood Revelation 1:5

The above verse is one of many in which the Holy Bible tells us of the importance of the Blood of Jesus Christ our Messiah for us to be cleansed of our sins.

Believe upon Jesus Christ that He died for your sins and rose again.
Repent of your sins and pray for forgiveness from God
and ask Him to cleanse and deliver you from all of your sins.
Ask Jesus to become Lord of your life and thank God that Jesus Christ is your Saviour.

Now pray using the above paragraph as a guideline.

If you prayed that prayer congratulations!

Now start reading the Bible and seek out Christian fellowship.
The Gospels in the New Testament of the Holy Bible will help you learn more about Jesus.
Reading the Old Testament also will give you the background and the history of God dealing with mankind prior to Jesus coming to Earth.

Christian Website Review & our webring

Review of
Gods Love for Us

web-ring member of
E37BW Ministries And Friends

James & Susan are owners of the site "Gods Love for Us"
within our web-ring "E37BW Ministries And Friends".

Here is their website description:
"Gods Love, How much does God Love us.
This page has many articles and links to help you find this out.
Included is an article by Ben-Ezra Bautista
where he tells his personal experience of Gods Love,
Also Bible Prophecies.
"

I, Pastor Bill, am more busy then when I first started our web-ring
so I only have time to quickly browse members websites.

I recently visited "Gods Love for Us"
and their are many uplifting and edifying pages on this site emphasizing God's love.
As with all of us; we sometimes have slightly different perspectives.
Even the few thoughts that are a little more unusual you will find challenging.
Overall "Gods Love for Us"; is a site glorifying Jesus and definitely worth your time.

Sincerely in Christ,
Pastor Bill

Balance in the Word of God

About unbalance and balance in the Word of God:

Sin, Love & Repentance

Note:
The following is originally written specifically for Christians.
I will add at the end about how to be saved,
how to be born-again.

Sometimes people get unbalanced.
Even in the Word.

When I was in Bible college a few fellow students from a church that preached God hates sinners was trying to spread that false doctrine in the men's dorm.
It created controversy, divided some friends but in
the end they convinced very few or none because most of us knew the Word enough to know that it was wrong.

Some preach about Jesus love without ever preaching or teaching about sin.
If there was no sin there would be no need for a Saviour.

If there is no need of a Saviour then there is no need of the Cross.
If those things were true then all the Cross would be is another philosopher dying for a good cause.
If people are not made aware that they are sinners
(some are aware but not all are aware of that)
then they would not know the importance of the Cross
(Jesus dying for our sins).

And then some react to those who preach love without repentance by preaching judgment and repentance but leaving out Jesus love.
That also is wrong!

God's love for us (for all) is why Jesus died on the Cross and why after His resurrection Jesus is in Heaven praying (making intercession) for us at the right hand of our Heavenly Father.

When you read 1 Corinthians Chapter 13 you will see all a person does for Jesus is empty, useless and means nothing without love.
So God's love in all we do and say is very important.

Keep preaching Jesus Christ, crucified and resurrected.
Keep preaching of repentance and God's love for all through the Cross.

If you are not saved, if you are not born-again

If you are not saved, if you are not born-again then read John chapter 3, after you finish reading this post.
I will give a Bible link at the end to find an online Bible.

Anyway, in John chapter 3: Jesus said that you must be born-again and mentions that this involves being born of water and spirit. So your spirit needs to be renewed.

Why?
Because the Bible in Romans tells us that all have fallen short of the Glory of God. None have done good, no not one.

Earlier (in the first section of this post)
I mentioned that Jesus died on the Cross,
was in the grave for 3 days,
resurrected after those 3 days in the grave
and is now in Heaven praying for you.

Why did Jesus die on the Cross?
Jesus died on the cross for your sins so that when you repent of your sins and believe upon Him then the sacrifice of Jesus blood which came forth from His wounds at the Cross and His death was in your place and my place so we do not have to face God's wrath.
Jesus loves us that much.
Jesus loves you that much!

You need to:

repent of your sin,
believe in Jesus Christ,
call upon His name,
ask Him into your life
and be willing to serve Him.

Say a prayer with those main ideas in it to God.

Or just pray to Jesus in your own words from your heart.
Remember o thank Jesus for dying in your place.
Thank Him for taking away your sins.
Thank Jesus Christ for loving you eternally!

God wants to use you to glorify Him!

How is that done you might ask?
This is done through learning more
about God and the power of His Holy Spirit
by reading the Holy Bible.
Also, find a Bible believing church to attend regularly!
If you have to visit more then one church for a little while untill you find one that will help spiritually; that is Ok .... at least by attending church or Christian meetings somewhere you will be meeting other Christians and learning from them.

If you do not have a Bible then look up John Chapter 3 at BibleGateWay.com
Click the following hyper-link to read the Bible passage: John Chapter 3

Virginia Tech - Evil in Our Midst

This excellent article (below my signature) is a beginning of the answer as to "why?" about tragedies like the Columbine Shooting, 9-11 and also what happened at Virginia Tech.

Please be praying for all who lost family and friends as well as those who were traumatized by the violent incidents of that day earlier this week at Virginia Tech.

Sincerely in Christ,
Pastor Bill

PS if you do not read all of this article please remember
what the conclusion of this following article states:

"God is.

Evil exists.

But a day is coming when God will still be and evil will be gone forever. God will have the final word, and when He does, the evil in our midst and the evil within us will be gone forever."

It came from Bible Lover Bill's files who is in my circle of Yahoo 360 friends and owns the Yahoo group Christianity_Basics_Source_१

--- In Christianity_Basics_Source_1@yahoogroups।com, "Bible lover Bill" wrote:

The Evil in Our Midst
(by Dr. Ray Pritchard)

Yesterday I was asked during a radio broadcast why bad things happen togood people.

I answered by saying that no one really knows the answer tothat question, that the best minds in history have grappled with the problem of evil, and that we can't draw a straight line from our knowledge to a troubled young man with two guns on Monday morning. To put the matter that way is not to say that there aren't answers. Perspectives might be a better word. The Bible offers many perspectives on God and evil that help us in times like these.
But inevitably we want more.
Not just, why did this happen? But why now? Why here?
Why did this person live and that person die?
Why didn't God stop it? Or why did He allow it?
We have a son who is a senior in college.
Like all parents, we worried about his safety and then stopped to think,
"It could have happened at his school."

One part of the Christian answer stresses that this world is not the way God created it!
Evil has invaded the world and taken it over. We know that intellectually and personally, and we experience it in a thousand ways every day. now and then horrendous evil, unspeakable violence, rips through the fabric of life and we stare it full in the face. That's what happened at Columbine eight years ago this Friday. That's what happened on 9/11. And that's what happened two days ago at Virginia Tech. Small-time evil we can understand and even live with. But this sort of thing numbs us and frightens us because we don't know what to do about it.

When Chuck Colson received the 1993 Templeton Prize for Progress in Religion, he spoke to an audience at the University of Chicago on "The Enduring Revolution." In describing the plight of modern society, he mentions four myths that define our time--
"the four horsemen of the present apocalypse."
The first myth is the goodness of man। This myth deludes people into thinking that they are always victims, villains; always deprived, never depraved. It dismisses responsibility as the teaching of a darker age. It can excuse any crime, because it can always blame something else -- a sickness of our society or a sickness of the mind.

Holocaust survivor Yehiel Dinur was a witness during the trial of Adolph Eichmann, the architect of the Nazi "final solution" during World War II. Eichmann presided over the slaughter of millions. "The court was hushed as a victim confronted a butcher."

Suddenly Dinur broke into uncontrollable sobs, and collapsed to the floor. When asked later to explain his actions, he said, "I was afraid about myself. I saw that I am capable to do this… Exactly like he." The reporter who interviewed Dinur concluded that the most chilling fact about Adolph Eichmann was that he was normal.
"Eichmann is in all of us."

The line between us and Cho Seung Hui is thin indeed.

Another part of the Christian answer reminds us that evil is not just "out there" somewhere.
It is also "in here," inside all of us. In another generation there was an old-time radio show that began with the announcer intoning,
"Who knows what evil lurks in the heart of man? The Shadow knows."
The idea of evil lurking in the heart is as old as the human race. Jeremiah 17:9 reminds us that "the heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?"
We are all sick because of sin, and the disease is 100% fatal. Sin has infected every human heart. No one escapes it. Whenever I am quoting Romans 3:23 in a sermon, I like to ask the congregation if anyone knows the last phrase of verse 22. No one ever does--at least not without looking down at the Bible. But the last phrase of verse 22 is the key to verse 23. It says "for there is no difference." That explains the famous statement in verse 23,
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
We're all in the same boat. No matter who we are or where we come from, we're all sinners desperately in need of God's grace. No difference between rich and poor, young and old, black or white, male or female, no difference between any of us when it comes to sin. We all stand condemned by our sin and all of us are under the judgment of God. Our sins may not be exactly the same, but we are all sinners nonetheless.

While we are wondering about the evil "out there," we ought to also take a good look in the mirror. Apart from the grace of God, who knows what horrible things we might do?
Finally (and here we will leave the matter for the moment) the Bible assures us that evil is not eternal. A few days ago I heard someone say that God doesn't exist. He is. Existence is a category we create to explain our own appearance on planet Earth. We exist because God brought us into being. We are here by His permission and when our life has run its course, we will be gone. God is not like that. He does not "exist" as we do. God is. Now take that concept and apply it to the massacre on Monday. What happened was unspeakably evil, but it is not the last word. It is not even the last word this week as we have seen the students come together, and we have heard the stories of heroism as some died that others might live.

Evil did not win on Monday and it will not, it cannot, win in the end.

God is.

Evil exists.

But a day is coming when God will still be and evil will be gone forever. God will have the final word, and when He does, the evil in our midst and the evil within us will be gone forever.
